Track Premiere: Judiciary – ‘War (Time is Nigh)’

Thrashy Texas hardcore crew Judiciary have been kicking serious ass in the underground for the past five years, releasing a demo, EP and split with Mortality Rate, all of which have made them a band to watch. Their debut full-length album is called Surface Noise, and it is required listening for fans of Power Trip and their ilk.

On their latest track and album closer, “War (Time is Nigh),” Judiciary lead with a thrashy riff before picking up momentum that continues to grow until they hit the mosh part. You want a part of the song for circle pits? Judiciary have that. You want a breakdown to crowdkill to? Judiciary have that. You want a part for two-stepping? Yeah, Judiciary have all that and more.

“Our new single ‘War’ is a ‘what if’ scenario that deals with the very devastating and finite outcomes that are possible with unchecked, consolidated power,” the band state. “We felt like placing this song at the end of the record was very conceptually fitting, especially when you consider what’s been going on even over the past couple of weeks.”

Surface Noise is out digitally and physically via Closed Casket on January 25.
